It is with great pride and mixed emotion, that we announce that the team behind SlapIt2me and everyone involved—sponsors, participants, donors—have reached their goal.
With three consecutive annual events we have raised over $40,000, with all net proceeds used to conceive the Derek Twomey Scholarship for Sport. With secured future personal contributions, the fund will exist at least for our lifetimes. We have gathered over 300 hockey fans to enjoy an incredible day and support a cause that so many stand behind. Most importantly, we have forever preserved the memory of a close friend, family member and community kid.
